• Contact Information (Mandatory): Your full name and mobile number are required during onboarding. This information enables personalized communication and support from our founder
• Study Data: Your study preferences, JEE preparation goals, completed exercises, and test scores
• Usage Information: How you interact with our features, study patterns, and time spent on different topics
• Device Information: Browser type, IP address (for security), and basic device information
• Payment Information: Processed securely through Razorpay (we don't store card details)

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Generate personalized weekly study plans using AI
• Provide instant doubt resolution through our AI solver
• Create custom mock tests and track your performance
• Send study reminders and progress updates (if you opt-in)
• Process payments and manage your account access based on your selected plan duration
• Improve our AI algorithms and platform features

We process your study content through Google's Gemini AI to provide personalized learning experiences, but your personal data is never used to train public AI models.

2.1 Founder Communication

Your mobile number may be used by the Founder/CEO of JEElevate to contact you directly via phone call for:

• Expressing gratitude: Thanking you personally for being part of our community
• Gathering feedback: Understanding your experience to improve and refine our platform
• Mentorship: Providing personalized guidance on your JEE preparation strategy
• Well-being support: Checking in on your mental well-being and offering stress relief during the demanding preparation phase

3. Data Protection & Security

We protect your data using:

• HTTPS encryption for all data transmissions
• Secure MongoDB Atlas databases with encrypted connections
• Magic Link authentication - no passwords required or stored. You log in by clicking a secure link sent to your email inbox
• Security headers and CSRF protection
• Regular security updates and monitoring

While we implement strong security measures, no online platform is 100% secure. Since we use passwordless Magic Links, we encourage you to keep your email account secure as it is your gateway to accessing JEElevate.

4. AI and Your Data

We use Google's Gemini AI to power our intelligent features:

• Your study content and doubts are processed by Gemini to generate explanations
• Weekly study plans are created based on your progress and goals
• Mock test questions and predicted papers are generated using AI

Important: While Gemini processes your queries to provide responses, your personal data is not used to train Google's AI models. Each session is isolated and your study history remains private to your account.

5. Your Rights

You have control over your data:

• Access: View all your data through your dashboard
• Export: Download your study plans and progress as PDFs
• Update: Edit your profile and preferences anytime
• Delete: Delete your account directly from the Settings page

6. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted service providers to operate JEElevate:

• Google (Gemini AI): AI-powered features for study plans, doubt solving, and content generation
• Razorpay: Secure payment processing (PCI compliant)
• MongoDB Atlas: Database hosting with encryption
• Resend: Email notifications (study reminders, account updates)
• Vercel: Secure platform hosting

We never sell your personal information to third parties. Data sharing is limited to what's necessary for these services to function.

7. Data Retention

We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Study performance data is retained to show your progress over time. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

JEElevate is designed for students preparing for JEE examinations. If you are under 18 years of age, please ensure you have your parent's or guardian's permission before using our services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.
